Completed ‘The Moon and Sixpence’ a couple of days back. The concept was reminiscent of ‘Lust for Life’ by Irving Stone. Does anyone have any idea why the book, ‘The Moon and Sixpence’ i.e. was named so? The story bore no relevance to the title or so I think! Any enlightenment, anyone…

I think The Moon and sixpence must be one of the most well written books ever.

was guessing that it might an allusion to one of his paintings, or might be… poor painter, walking alone at night with nothing but the moon shining and a sixpence in his pocket…
😀 dunno either
