Rileen, Rileen… you were never this venomous, Rileen….:-)))
This one states your case oh-so-eloquently…
Frustration
If I had a shiny gun,
I could have a world of fun
Speeding bullets through the brains
Of the folk who give me pains;
Or had I some poison gas,
I could make the moments pass
Bumping off a number of
People whom I do not love.
But I have no lethal weapon-
Thus does Fate our pleasure step on!
So they still are quick and well
Who should be, by rights, in hell.

*Not* my case ……
Lady, lady, lady …… how about asking me whether the post was born out of frustration before drawing your conclusions?
As i descended into a platform today, and a tram was already there(not the one i needed, btw), i was reminded of missing a train in that situation many years ago. It suddenly occurred to me as a ‘funny curse’, and then over lunch i thought of the others. That’s all there is to it – neither did i post it in a bad mood, as Dee thought, nor was it directed at anyone, as you seem to think.
Dorothy Parker, of course, was the queen of sarcastic humour 🙂
Btw, have you never seen any of my ‘Sarcastix’ posts?

Jaan boojh ke! Taang-khichai :-p
How i wish i could bop you one 🙂
Hadn’t realised it was a long time since Sarcastix made a guest appearance – here’s an example, and another.
Still don’t understand why this post isn’t a comment in my LJ, but i guess this is also some sort of publicity :-p
