I have been trying since morning to write something about Omkara. Rang De Basanti was simpler! Anyways, go watch the film. It is one of the classiest films I have seen in a long time. And this is one of the shortest film reviews I have written and that too about a film that I liked so much. At least it is out of my mind now!!!

I thought the music was pretty good , that’s because I’m biased towards Vishal Bhardwaj ever since Maachis came out. Although,the selction of the singer didn’t match Bipasha’s item number in the police station. Bipasha looked too polished for that vocie.

Yes, I think the music was wonderful. It fit in excellently with the script and the situations – almost echoing the thoughts of the actors in its poetic way. Love the Beedi number… it is running on in my head in an interminable loop!

heyyyy… exactly my thoughts after seeing the movie.. i couldnt write a review.. classy is the right word.. and i loved the way he brought back shakespere in the most ghaati way possible..
the dialogues were bold and enjoyable and didnt seem thrown in for the heck of it.
oh and loved the songs.. .listen to namak.. it didnt catch up much in the picturization but the song by itself is so amazing…

Not ghaati…:-) That’s UP though the language is Haryanvi.
I have heard Namak before and other songs of Rekha Bharadwaj as well. She has some of them on Raaga. I think they were picked for this film. I love her voice.
