#Walked, walked, walked all over the Washington DC area. Around the Capitol building, White House, Washington Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, grassy green avenues, thin concrete paths, up and down staircases, marble museum floors, around ancient exhibits, up and down escalators and elevators.
#Spent close to 12 hours cramped in a corner of a rental car to DC and back.
#Drank enough hot chocolate to last WEEKS!
#Ate at this Indian eatery called Indique. Made me wonder how highly we value fairly-okay Indian food in foreign lands.
#Left my camera charger at Atlanta in an unforgiveably non-traveller move and rued endlessly over how silly I could get…:-(
#Left my bag at home and spent the weekend living in borrowed sweaters and like.
#Wore winter wear for the first time. Come on, you never need all that wool in sunny Atlanta. But quite loved the way it looked…:-)
#Learned Padmasadhana and re-discovered that I cannot do Sarvaanghaasana or the shoulder stand. DAMN!
#Drank Starbucks’ peppermint mocha for the first time and quite liked it.
#Took a couple of pics that I’ll post in the coming days.

Oh…. i forgot to mention…
We drove down to NC to see my BIL’s family. Mostly at home, family time together. But we did catch up on two movies, back to back – Chicken little immediately followed by Legend of Zorro. Had not done this type of thing since college days where we saw 3 movies back-to-back 😛

If I had to describe my recent experience of DC in a similar number of words (as the first # in your post), I would probably pick the same words as yours, in the same order. My DC trip = me walking.

padmasadhana????
It cant be the same padmasana..or is it?
Been a while since i heard those words…
and did you see the smithsonian?? The needle tower mayhaps?
November 28, 2005 — 10:40 pm
Lakshmi says:
Dunno what Padmasadhana you’re referring to but I’m talking about a series of yogaasanaas taught by Art of Living that is referred to as Padmasadhana.
I saw some of the Smithsonian museums. 3 days is too short to see them all…:-(
Visited a new museum called the International Spy Museum. Was interesting in parts though we paid $14 as entry fees. Expensive as compared to the free entry for the Smithsonians.
Went up the obelisk-shaped Washington Memorial too.
