The other kinds of independence – we who have it take it for granted, and would perhaps really think it precious only when we’re missing it, as you are right now.
Meanwhile ‘s study of the “married female psyche” continues :-p ……
listen .. why dont you set off on some trekking expedition all by yourself.. with absolute strangers.. that should be a good break from feeling lousy..
its in your hands babe.. you can either sit and brood about it all your life or you can stand up and do something about it..
do some odd jobs … earn your own pocket money..
sell papers maybe..
do something..
go around like a street hawker and sell parathas maybe..
you can never lose your independence.. and if you have then its solely your decision..
All Im saying is..sometimes you are very comfortable in the position you are in.You just have a vague feeling of unhappiness….You feel something is missing…most of us are content to let things be and deal with the discontent by letting it stay or putting it at the back of our mind. Not a good policy but thats human nature!
Guess its easy to say break out of the rut. We are all slaves to something or the other. I miss the freedom to eat bhel. I miss the independence of being able to call my friends when I wish. I wish I could skip work whenever I felt like it…
Nothing is independent in this world. Everything depends on something else and that something is also dependent. We are all small links of a never ending chain and we cannot break from it. The strength of this world is this dependence. Can you imagine to break away from your own parents, husband, children or friends? Do you think you can exist independent of them ? You should be happy that many people depend on you and you depend on many people. This dependence makes you independent of many worries and sorrows.

Of course i do – was just suggesting that neither of us has ‘complete independence'(!!), and that some of what we don’t have is a ‘voluntary loss’.
But yes, i can imagine that doing a job would be much better, if that’s what you meant.
