Musings…

Got my first suit yesterday. A snappy, black number, it looks pretty smart! If I don’t make it through the school interview, I’ll probably set it on fire. On second thoughts, I may not…:-)

I learned that I have two strands of grey hair on the back of my head. If that’s an effect of heredity, I’m fine (Daddy greyed pretty early) but if it’s the result of all my griping and whining (read needless stress), then I am mighty piqued. As a child, I was quite the I-don’t-care person, unlike Geetu. I really didn’t care so bad about my grades or school performance. I was too busy reading, singing, dancing and showing off my English speaking skills to my classmates and teachers alike! I rode the wave those years, I sure did… Now that spirit seems to have vaporised and like camphor, the only remnant is a slight fragrance of what might have been if what it was had stayed as it was. Well, it’s time to get that spunk and spirit back. Just breathe in, breathe out…

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a curiously interesting film. I fathomed what Kaufman was talking about but patches of the film just ran through without really making a lot of sense to me. Like Meenaxi-…., I lost sense of imagination, reality, time and space. Shall watch it again… Kate Winslet is lovely. She is beautiful, in the league of Madhubala. Classic features… oh so utterly beautiful.

Few pleasures compare to the warmth radiating from the pillow next to yours on a cold and dark October morning…:-) Marriage is a good idea.

Spoke with Mummy for such a long time yesterday, nearly 2 hours and as the phone card was about to end, I told her, “Amme, I’ll call you later, sometime mid-week.” She laughed out loud saying, “It’s like those two old women who went to Kashi and chatted all along the way and finally parted ways saying that they’d talk later!”. She’s such a total sweetheart, my Mom…

Got this magazine called ‘Discover’ which is running a special feature celebrating 100 years since the discovery of relativity. My Dad resembles Albert Einstein… you’ve got to see him to believe that! Right from the wild shock of white hair to the thick moustache to the kindest expression in a serious pair of eyes.

Breathe in, breathe out…
