Mind-Body balance

Nothing recent to post and so I’ll put up something I wrote some time back.

It happens very so often that the mind and the body are at loggerheads with each other. The body is fine after one Krispy Kreme doughnut but the mind craves another. The body does not need ten puris; six is more than sufficient but it is the mind that wants the extra ones. The body being at a grosser level of existence knows what it needs and asks accordingly. The mind is more powerful and wields greater control over the body than the other way around. It needs little but demands a lot. Since some weeks now, I feel this perfect balance within. Earlier, I had a hearty appetite and could barely wait for my Kriya to be completed in the morning before getting to my breakfast. These days, there is a pleasant change. I hardly feel the need for a big breakfast. A cup of warm milk with tea masala and cane sugar, maybe a banana or a slice of toast – more than suffices. Neither my body nor my mind craves anything more. Even lunch can be a small affair. Going by the fact that it’s summer and temperatures are higher, it’s the best thing to happen. I crave to drink water, juices, more fluids but neither my mind nor my body asks for anything that is not right. It is a marvellous change…

Update: And people ask me if I am dieting! I have NEVER gone on a diet till date, so there…:-)
