Sarcastic, funny, satirical. Woody Allen plays himself and he is in great company. Neat photography, each shot neatly spliced and seemingly out of a photo album. Like Annie Hall, this one is replete with great one-liners.
What does money got to do with it? I’ve got enough for a year if I live like Mahatma Gandhi. My accountant says that I did this on a very bad time. My stocks are down. I’m cash poor, or something. I’ve got no cash flow. I’m not liquid. Something is not flowing. I don’t know, but those people got a language of their own those guys.
Artsy folks world over have the same kind of homes, hmmm?
Dark, darker, darkest. My theory: Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu shot the film in sequence, ran wild with a pair of scissors and snipped the entire reel into unrecognisable, unrelated, little bits of film. It’s fun to make sense of the pieces…:-)
Not a good idea to end the day with this film unless you’re especially uppity. Or plain dispassionate.

I loved Manhattan!
Oh, and Annie Hall too!
(I think I’m in love with Woody Allen, however weird that sounds!)

Maybe it’s due to his wry sense of humor and astonishing sexual technique…:-)))
