My movie backlog is covered.
Hazaaron Khwahishein Aisi – Intense, hardhitting, superlative performances. Shiney Ahuja and Chitrangada Singh are good-looking and talented. Oh, how am I kidding, Shiney is so cool…
Bluffmaster – Neat film! Abhishek is quite the hottie and packs in a cool performance. Loved the plot, very slick direction.
Bunty Aur Babli – What a fun film! Abhishek is the cutie (I know this probably sounds nauseating!). Songs are wonderful, absolutely wonderful. Amitabh is the stunner. I think he has redefined age and acting in this industry. His hip-hop Bunty aur Babli number defies description…the man is a phenomenon. I also liked the father-son chemistry in the song Kajra Re.
Sarkar – Hmm, I thought that both Dad and son were awfully stiff characters. Or maybe that’s how the scripts were drawn out. Katrina Kaif is so beautiful…sigh.
Salaam Namaste – Can you stand another blog about this one??!!!

Oh and I think Shiney is an apt nick for someone called Roshan 😛

Oh, he is so cute. Methinks I have not raved about anyone in the last few years as I did over the last weekend…. make that last few months.
Siddharth (RDB), Kunal Kapoor (RDB), Shiney Ahuja, Abhishek Bachchan… I guess that’s it.

You could actually watch ‘Bunty aur Babli’ till the end? Hats off to you. I couldn’t bear it after the drunk Amitabh incident. Argh! I am feeling nauseous just thinking about that film.

Paatu kitti. My cousin sent it to me. Very nice especially the way it keeps appearing at different points in the film.

Ooh, you’re ahead of me now on new movies. I’ve had Sarkar out from Netflix for a couple of weeks now and still haven’t gotten around to it. Maybe this weekend…

Don’t you have access to any Indian grocery stores that stock Hindi film DVDs/videos? That’s where I get mine from…

I used to go that route, but I rented a few too many really crappy scratched-to-oblivion DVDs. The closest store that rents is 15 minutes away, and it’s really frustrating to get home with their only copy of something only to find it a) doesn’t have subtitles or b) is at least 1/2 unwatchable, or c) both.
