There was a tear that fell. It was a momentous occasion, if you want to call it that. The pain and pleasure mingled together and the sensations were indescribable. She felt a range of emotions swirling within. It felt as if the stress of the past six months swam into one heady moment. Or two. Or more. And it all came together in a spark of passion. But that tear dropped. And then a few more. Felt like she was leaving behind twenty five years of sweetness, and entering a time-space characterized by bitter-sweet lemon juice, tall cups of achingly sweet Nescafe, sneak peeks, gaudy carpets, platters of shrimp… and Shaan’s honeyed voice endlessly singing, “Tanha Dil”.
It’s incredible what a renewed sense of life and living I have gained from my practices…
