I’ve been seriously thinking of bringing forth a list of instant-mix foods that one should DEFINITELY steer clear of and posting it on all possible websites. This week and the one that went by… Has been an unusually bad one as far as ‘ready cooking’ goes. All the villains…:-)

MTR Rave Dosa mix
MTR Idli mix
Last night saw the Rave Dosa experiment(Pinch insisted on saying ‘Rave Dose’ and I kept correcting him, wonder why??!!) end in … bad dosas. The batter still remains and as per the ambitious plans of my better half, rave idlis are to be expected. Well, I warned him last night itself that I am NOT intending to even taste this new thingy.
Today is another day…

Well, MTR might be good… Atleast their Bisi Bela Baath Mix is great. These three mixes… totally non-happening.

I’ve never had a problem with MTR. In fact, I thought the Rava Idli mix was really good. Hmm.

You know the GITS dhokla mix and the GITS rava idli mix are pretty decent…haven’t figured out the difference between the both yet but that is mainly ‘cos I make both in the same idle patram and they look exactly the same!!!

Git sucks! The recipe for the gulab jamun calls for WAY too much milk so the dough was too watery and wouldn’t hold together.
