When there’s lots to describe, ~ works just fine!
Thanksgiving’04 ~ Friend’s home ~ Lots of food ~ Sweet potato pie sprinkled with parmesan cheese ~ corn-bean salad ~ cabbage and vermicelli dish ~ spiced soya nuggets ~ turkey stuffing (no turkey) ~ green salad ~ spicy rice ~ tofu-carrot-beans curry ~ freshly baked corn bread ~ Pumpkin pie ~ carrot cake ~ icecream…
The 4-day holiday just raced past. All I recall are the times we ate out (no time to cook at home), the unending scrubbing of the kitchen and bathroom, the crazy Thanksgiving sales (my better half left home at 5 am to catch the early bird sales!), tramping all over Rich’s-Macy’s and other shops in search of non-existent bargains (Phew!)… Ended with cooking a meal for some 125 odd people (with other AOL members). It happened to be a Seva project for MUST Ministries. The food went to homeless people supported by the organisation. A fitting end indeed.
Just for the purpose of *eye-candy*…

It was nice.. Have never eaten anything like it before. Btw, the long glass dish next to the bottle of apple juice contains the sweet potato pie.
