Teen Deewaarein… Wow!

As the title goes, watched this film last night. Nagesh K is a good director, a really good one. I haven’t heard a bad review about this film from a single person. I loved the film; amazing screenplay and a great script. A very well developed storyline and a cool climax. I am really looking forward to his next film. Come to think of it, for someone who hasn’t learnt film-making(has he?) he does a good job of it. Hyderabad Blues, Rockford, Bollywood calling and 3 Deewaarein…. A good innings.
Like the older films, he stars in this one too… A Hyderabadi accent and perennially pissed off look, he has done a cool job of a convict convinced of ‘Satyameva Jayate’… Jackie Shroff has the sexiest voice ever and I wonder… Coming from Teen Batti, how did he develop such a polished accent? Of course, Naseeruddin Shah is the greatest again… Such a total kameena in this film, a complete charmer, his voice, his refined Hindi, the accent… has turned into a good-looking old man, like Ismail Merchant.

Sat up late last night typing something I really wanted… Posted it here…

Comments are welcome, as always….
Lost my sleep on that piece, dropped off sometime 1 maybe… to wake up at 5 feeling unusually restless…
Bad morning….:)

I think I don’t like John Updike. An unnecessarily convoluted and overtly descriptive kind of writing… Is he a supposed ‘great’ writer??
I tried to read a few stories…. Tougher and tougher..
On the other hand, whatever little I read of Kurt Vonnegut, I liked….
