A snappy movie – heavy star value what with AB Sr., AB Jr., Sanjay Dutt, Diya Mirza, Suneil Shetty, Vivek Oberoi, Tussar Kapoor. Good performances, neat script and characterisation, elegant camerawork. There is a good chunk (ouch!) of blood and gore (I didn’t intend this pun – I hate it!) that I constantly kept averting my face from – lots of bullets flying across the screen, guns, slapping, punching, etc. It is a lot more dramatic than Black Friday in that there are some *emotional* scenes, a couple of songs, some obviously-filmy lines – but I like the fact that such films are being made. They may not be pieces of art but the effort is commendable. It means that big actors are willing to give their time to films like these, talented script writers and camera folks are open to such projects, we should see more interesting projects like Shootout at Lokhandwala. On an aside, I remember Swati Building. I am positive I had a few friends who lived there – the name seems oh-so familiar.

Was there that stuff about how cops choose to kill gangsters on the spot because the legal system is too cumbersome?

Hmm…will check it out soon. Btw, have you seen “Bheja Fry”? It’s a really fun, situational film unlike the stupid Paresh Rawal flicks that pass for comedy these days.

Hi U, do I know you…? Bheja Fry is a smart film – it’s a direct copy of a French movie – don’t recall the name.

They tried to bring in the rang de basanti theme in this movie, but it wasnt as appealing as RDB.
The funniest part was that Mr Bacchan was named Mr Dhingra. Heheh..

Oh, didn’t really see the resemblance to RDB – totally escaped me.
