Shall we dance?

I am generally not the first person to hit the movie theatres and watch the latest film but I kinda feel as if I’m the first person to blog about Shall we dance?. It is not your run-of-the-mill chick flick nor is it a romantic comedy… Maybe someone did watch it and blog about it and I didn’t read that post. Well, I watched it last night and really liked it. Richard Gere is exactly the kind of guy I’d fall for, had I been a greater fan of the *young girl-older man* relationship concept. Some of you may recall my post where I mentioned about having a dream featuring Gere and I sharing a romantic relationship where he asks me to forsake him and lead my own life (I know, what drama!) and I implore him to let me stay and suggest that we get married. For the record, I am 22 and he is 45. In the dream, that is…

Coming back to Shall we dance?, the film is about dancing. The sheer joy and magic of the moves, the passion on the dance floor, the grace, waltz, quickstep, tango! Jennifer Lopez makes an appearance as a dance teacher, oh, she’s lovely! J Lo isn’t my favourite celebrity but she did a decent job as Paulina in this film. And she is gorgeous… and graceful! Susan Sarandon has a small role as Gere’s wife. And Gere, is such a smooth dancer, the guy knows how to move. Really does… The folds at the corner of his eyes are crinkles, not wrinkles! That’s how suave he is…:-)

A friend of mine once told me that she’d have loved to marry a guy who could really dance. I think I know what she means. I guess passion on the dance floor automatically translates as passion in life, bed? A misconception, I know… But that may be the reason why Ustad Zakir Hussain was voted the sexiest man in India.

Btw, Tom Selleck is another guy I could have fallen in love with. Who else?

P.S. I know that Zakir Hussain doesn’t dance. Just an example that I used.
P.P.S. Or maybe he does. But that’s not what I am talking about. Oh hell, you guys understand, don’t you?
