awesome babe.. i totally love the color combo used in the kitchen….
and i luv the feel that a high roof gives… it lends a feel of the victorian era…
i think you should have more such color combos all over the house…
it gives a very happy look to the house…
surround yourself with colors.. you never feel plain 🙂
🙂 Nothing Victorian about this one. The previous owner liked bold colors, I think. The master bedroom is a shade of green that I wouldn’t really go for. The study is some kind of a sea-green… different colours, yeah.
maybe a little more modern than that but it still reminds me of houses that were built centuries ago.. with those high ceilings and stuff..
put up more pictures… of the master bedroom and the study…
i got my whole house setup in shades of blue and green ..
hehehe yeah thats how it happens.. and soon you have a theme…
guess thats how a lot of stuff came into existence..
i luv the combo of orange and maroon.. in fact i got a couple of dresses in the same color combo…
OMG! This is such a beautiful house.I saw the living room and I thought, “wow” coz i love high ceilings. Then i see the kitchen area. The beautiful rich red on the walls of the dining area is SO beautiful.
Congrads:)
You like idlies eh? You should try the podi idlies (baby idlies) you get here. They look so adorable, and they’re fluffy and yummy!
Laxmi, please reserve a place for me as well, at the dining table:)
podi idlies (baby idlies)
is that what they are called? I just called them mini-idlis! I had them for the first time last summer (2005) at Hotel Mayur in Tirupati. OMG! they were out of this world! There were 7 tiny ones in a plate and I think they add extra ghee on each of them! WoW! I had them for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
I haven’t seen them in Mumbai. Though I hear recently there is an “Idli Place” opened near King’s Circle. Adds to list of places to go.
Beautiful….how i wish i cud live in such a house….the colour combination on ur kitchen walls r somewhat similar to my hall…u have a very nice area to make a beautiful garden

Yes, natural light was one of the biggest criterion we had. This one faces NE and so we get great light most of the day.

For sure… I am not too fond of high ceilings but like I said, the room is not huge at all and so it seems quite nice.

Now we need more pictures of the rooms with the furniture in them!
Also you can start shopping for curtains, they give a different look to the house that blinds can never give.

Yeah, curtain shopping will be a big project. So many friends of mine have actually got stuff from India for the curtains.
