A few years back, we’d been to Nehru Centre, Bombay to attend a music concert. After the performance ended, people started heading towards the bus-stop across the road. The traffic divider was crowded with people waiting for the stream of traffic to stop. I heard a small voice behind me ask very seriously,” Papa, airport kahaan hain?”
Papa replied in a somewhat surprised tone,”Kaafi door hain, beta. Kyon?”
Pat came the answer “Hum ghar plane se nahin jaa sakte?”
:-))))
Another incident closer to home…
In a 4th grade class, a teacher was telling her students that while travelling in a bus, if they find any elderly person standing, they must give up their seats to that person. One little girl piped up,”But I sit in my mother’s lap, Teacher. How can I give it up?”
???!?!?!??!?!
Btw, that was Geetu…:-)

Yes. Kids are just too much fun.
My friend’s daughter is about one and half yr old. She likes to *walk* people around – she will hold on to your hand and head any which way she wants; and u are dragged along.
now she was doing a walk in Sunnyvale, downtown. and there was music coming from a pub. she starts dancing to the tune, sparkle in her eyes – lilting … springy action, swaying from one foot to the other. and then she spots this caucasian child (boy) – he is something like 4-5 yrs old (loose shorts, rotund). so she walks towards him (i am being dragged along). she goes to this kid – takes his hands and dances (lilting motion) with him. (this is all happening on the sidewalks of this downtown). he is flabbergasted. but he starts enjoying. after a couple of minutes – she stops. smiles widely at him, looks at me, points at him, says: “papa”. the boy is distressed … he asks me .. “did she call me papa ? did she call me papa ? ” .. i am almost bursting at seams with laughter … maan. well, i explained to the kid (boy) the best i could, that this li’l girl knows only a couple of words yet … and all guys are most probably “papa” to her.
kids are fun.
