Has been a crazy trip so far. Atlanta-Mumbai-Bangalore-Tharakkal-Thrissur-Mumbai-Chotila-Somnath-Delhi-Mumbai… PHEW!!! Finally I am in Mumbai now and will leave for USA on Saturday morning. Oh, Mumbai has changed so much and so has the rest of the country, I am sure. For one, the traffic situation in B’bay is AWFUL. It scared me stiff from day one and I can say with certainty that this is no knee-jerk reaction. It is pretty logical: the roads are not wider, number of people have increased, everyone is in more of a hurry than before, there are more vehicles on the road. End result, overcrowding, bad bad driving, scant regard to driving rules (Bombayites, please don’t hurl ‘these America-returned desis’ at me!!!). Watching Pinch’s Dad navigate through the messy traffic with the amused grin on his face, I thought, does he have nerves of steel or what?
What shopping, what places to eat… oooh. I get such a sense of energy from this city. Now that I have been in near-sleepy Atlanta for two years, Bombay seems to come out right into my face…:-)

You aint seen bad traffic till you’ve seen traffic in Bangalore. In mumbai, people drive on the left of the road. In Bangalore, we drive on what is left of the road.

Drivers in India just dance on the roads. Never seen anything like that in my life!
We were stuck in Bombay for 1 day or so but I could feel the rush and atmosphere of that city!:)

We had quite adventure:) Our flight was overbooked, and we had to stay one day more in Mumbai. We were staying at Intercontinental Hotel O_O
It was like wooooow! At the end of our trip the universe gifted me with a luxurious hotel with a swimming pool and loads of delicious yummy food, a hotel I’ve never ever lived in and probably never will 🙂
