Lotsa things happened over part of the last week and this weekend. A friend had gifted us a large cooking pot as a wedding gift. It was too huge for us to ever use it for anything. Thankfully, he gave us the receipt in case we wanted to exchange it. After placing the receipt in a ‘safe’ location, both Pinch and I conveniently forgot that ‘safe’ location, picked up another receipt, took it to the shop… ho gaya popat! Finally got the right receipt and exchanged the gift for a food processor and a sandwich toaster which was marked as some 10 odd dollars but at the billing counter, the bar-code reader showed the price as $1.48. :-))
Well, that’s all we paid!
Come Sunday evening and Pinch is struck by the usual pangs of ‘Wasted weekend, we’re too lazy, kuch nahin kiya, etc. etc. etc.’ Struck us that we’d bought atta the last week. Ever-industrious hubby took out all the attachments and atta and set to making the roti ka dough. End of story, we finally had home-made rotis for dinner last night… According to Pinch, THAT has salvaged our wasted weekend…:-)
