There is this kind of a guy, real or imaginary, I don’t know. He is every girl’s favourite dancing partner. Not one for a long term relationship or any kind of committment but the guy who grooves wonderfully and under the dance lights, he is the most attractive guy imaginable. In fact, you’d be near-embarassed to meet him in the daylight because the steps he coaxes out of you in the night on the dance floor are the stuff dreams and films are made of. When he dances with you, it seems that all life is made just for both of you to dance together, forever, into eternity. Just groove, on and on… lights swinging on and on, the moment blurring into a rhythm and a melody so beautifully blended that you know not if it’s a dream or reality. Just you, the guy, the music, the lights and the groove. It’s a dream sequence… almost like Krishna dancing with the gopis. Of course, that was a love purer beyond anyone’s comprehension. This – is just love for the dance, the moves, the music.
*An effect of listening to some amazing Hindi music namely ‘Deedar De’ and ‘Dus Bahane’ on Raaga. Do I miss dancing or what!!!!*

OMG I can;t tell you HOW badly I feel like dancing each time I hear those two songs. They play them all the time on the desi radio station, and as a result I can barely sit still while driving!

I know exactly what you mean… One of these days, I am going to blast those songs in my living room, throw my shoes off and dance away…:-)

q>blast those songs in my living room ….. and dance away..
I do that every so often. Feel very relaxed after a session like that. The last time i danced away for almost 3 hours non-stop was on new years eve.<

You sound like you could use a dance fix this weekend π
I know two such guys – and I just love going dancing with them except I’m not embarassed to meet them in broad daylight…..the rest of the description fits though. For me, it used to be such a stress release to go dancing with them and it was the best remedy for an awful day/week cos I was guaranteed to have a great time and forget about everything else on the dance floor…..

Sure I could use something like that!
The problem is, I am EXTREMELY choosy when it comes to dance music. I find it difficult to dance to music that I don’t care about which is why, most mindless remixes are ruled out. Plus, I have a soft corner for Indian music (all kinds) and so many times, I find myself standing on the side when the music playing is something I care not a whit about.

‘Deedar De’ is verra catchy…Unfortunately my dancing is limited to locking the door, drawing the drapes, and then shaking the ass. Alone.

just brilliantly awesome. And I so relate to it because I woke up today and danced to myself for half an hour to some amazing music I downloaded last night. It is the spring, the spring I tell you.
