Today is 2nd February, 2006. And the perfect day to sing ‘Mohe Rang de Basanti!’ because it’s the start of Basant or Spring, as per the Hindu calendar. In USA, the groundhog has predicted six more weeks of winter, poor chaps! Congrats, srusrid on your Hindu calendar wedding anniversary…:-)
In India, the winter is on his way out, the flowers have started to show their pretty faces, marriages are being planned, it’s the season for yellow, orange, pure saffron! In a matter of weeks, I’ll be in India, Yoo Hoo! Family, food, new clothes, music, sweets, travel, festivals, celebration! This year promises to be a wonderful one, starting with the Art of Living Silver Jubilee celebrations in Bangalore over 17th, 18th and 19th of February. The peaceful vibes generated by the meditation and sadhana of 500,000 people will permeate all over the country and affect the lives of countless people all over the world. Pinch and I plan to celebrate Shivraatri in the famed Somnath temple in Gujarat and what better place to celebrate the night of Shiva than at the first known Jyotirlinga and lucky us, we also get to celebrate it with Guruji in Delhi. A night of Sadhana, Satsang and celebration with so many other Sadhaks from all around the world… He alone knows what else this visit back home will bring into our lives.

My cousin brother and his wife +kids are going to india specially for this ART OF LIVING event from sacremento ,cal.He was telling me that it is very auspicious day and hence Sri Sri ravi shankar has kept this silver jubliee then.I have met Sri Sri Ravi Shankar personally only once that too by accident.i gather He seems to be having great number of followers internationally as well.

In a way, we are doing the same thing. Going back home after 2 years and what better occasion to do it than during the Silver Jubilee celebrations? Yes, these three days are said to be highly auspicious ones. As for Guruji’s following, it’s true that he has followers all over the world.
How did you meet Guruji?

Hello 🙂
I thought I could ask you, cause you lived in India. We are flying to Bombay, not straight to Bangalore. We want to go from Bombay to Bangalore by bus. Do you know how long it may take? Thank you in advance.

Journey by bus is not very comfortable. I’ve done this route by bus many years back and it was an overnight journey. Train would be more comfortable and if you can afford to fly, that’d be the best way, I think…
