BLACK!

Black is an interesting film. Well, the storyline is really powerful and compelling, not so much the execution. Actually, I liked the script, AB and Rani and the little girl have turned in some really good performances, there were some really nice one-liners in the film (‘It’s light and not the eyes that are important for what use are eyes for a sighted person in the darkness’). Many of the actors are from the theatre as is obvious from their style of acting, Shernaz Patel and Meherbanoo Mody-Kotwal being two of them. I’ve seen Naseeruddin Shah perform on stage (‘Mahatma v/s Gandhi’) and I really believe that I like him on the silver screen a helluva lot more. Such a different subject to tackle… film is worth watching once.
