The beauty in the stillness of a perfect moment. The gentle black that spreads across my field of vision when I close my eyes. The sudden expanse that fills me. My breath that becomes faded, gentle and almost invisible. The perfect balance of alertness and relaxedness in body and mind. The beautiful silence within and without. The feeling of being suspended in space and time. Aaah, the sheer beauty of meditation!

Nice post!. posting a q&a with Sri Sri Ravishankar [founder of Art of Living]. also read specifically the last point in the ans below, as it captures the mood in which you wrote the post..
Q: What is meditation?
Answer: Meditation is relaxing deeply…
Sri Sri: Meditation is not trying to think of something. Meditation is relaxing deeply. If you are concentrating on a problem, then you are not relaxing.
Meditation is almost like sleep, but it’s not sleep. It is what happens right after Sudarshan Kriya – when you are lying down, what’s on your mind?
Nothing! There is nothing. It’s blank. That is meditation. Or, when you are really happy or when you are resting, then, what is the state of your mind?
That is a meditative mind.
Even when you are in deep love… and you are reposing in love, then that is meditation.
It’s very simple! When the mind becomes free from agitation, when it becomes calm and serene, and is at peace, then meditation happens.
By meditation you can turn your body into a powerhouse as your generate an inner source of energy.

emm.. well yes but truthfully not regularly. I wish i could. By meditation alone we get to connect the little joys of Self to the infinite biss that there IS.
The fact that you had written this thought, and written it as nicely as you did.. am sure you do. Would be glad to know on your reflections on this.
I beleive that meditation is that radio frequency where one tunes into One!

I have been meditating since three and a half years now and I really feel that it’s one of the most precious gifts I have ever received… I feel incredibly lucky to have learnt to meditate.

Am so glad.
My problem is so much with my own weakness of resolve to have the regularity that i wish [& i know shall help me much more than what am benefiting now]
Commitment i guess.. am weak on that, food for my thoughts.
Any specific meditation you work on /find differential better /more usefult etc – although i understand the essence is just the same, but still..

Where do you live?
In fact, I did a DSN with Anand Rajendran a couple of weeks back. He is so incredible… π
Yes, I practise the Sudarshan Kriya every day.
Btw, Gurudev is going to be in Washington DC (He is already there) and I am going for the weekend. Tomorrow is His Vedic birthday and there are going to be celebrations galore.

Re: Jai Guru Dev!
I JUST DONT BELEIVE THIS FRIEND.
am here on LJ for about a month only and am somehow getting driven to connect and interact with people who i can not by any design have chosen! Clearly a Divine Design somewhere.
Lemme give you another coincidence – I did my dsn with Anandji as well in India. HE IS A TIGER!. Let me know ever, if at all, you need to revise DSN learning points – i would b glad to.!
Am pretty pleasantly surpised .. and of course happy.
You seem to be such a committed soul. I invariably can not avoid feeling guilty of not being able to do kriya daily. May be shortage of ‘sankalpa’
Am also sad that i am not able to make it to bangalore in first week of June, where guruji is holding an AMC. i wish i could..
Someday..
Main jahan Rahoon
Main jahan bhi hoon
Teri yaad saath hai…
