Over the last few weeks, I cooked up a veritable storm of dishes. Vanilla almond truffles, fig-date nut bars, cornbread… and now I am all out of steam. I need to inject a good dose of enthusiasm into my daily cooking. I’d love to have someone cook for me… 🙁
Any smart ideas, amigos? Recipes have to be vegetarian, healthy, suitable for lunch-dinner preparation.

Some favourite comfort foods: vegan chili, warm chick pea salad with couscous, minestrone, pav bhaji. All easy and do not require much prep time.
On a different note, have you considered a slow cooker. They are really convenient once you have a few recipes figured out.

I have a pressure cooker – not the same as a slow cooker, is it?
I love the chili they serve at my office cafe. Must check it out sometime. Btw, it’s probably going to be pav bhaji tonight for dinner… 🙂

Quite the opposite, the slow cooker takes ages 🙂 It is very convenient if you want to assemble a soup or a stew before you leave for work or school and the food is ready when you get back. There are a bunch of recipes around the web. The modification I find useful for Indian food is to cook the legumes/veggies in the slow cooker and then adding the tadka at the very end.
