Geetu’s wedding was wonderful. It was an emotional event for me – cannot really express all that I went through. Maybe I’ll write about that some time later.
We went on a trip down South. Visited a bunch of temples in Tamil Nadu. Here goes…
Madurai Meenakshi
Srirangam
Thiruvannakoil
Mannargudi
Brihadeeshwara Temple
Swamimalai
Thiruvalan Kuzhi
Pateeshwaram
Darasuram
Alangudi
Thirunageswaram
Uppiliyappan Koil
Nachchiyar Koil
Thirubhuvanam
Thiruvidai Marudur
Vaitheeshwaran Koil
Chidambaram
It was a wonderful trip indeed. The weather was lovely as well. Didn’t take as many pictures as I would have liked to but there are some that I’ll post anyway. Have already planned the next trip – they’ll be the temples in Karnataka as everyone has been recommending this one. Will see how that one pans out.
On to pictures… In no particular order.
This is a gorgeous temple – I felt such an immense rush of devotion and love here, it was indescribable.
The architechture of this temple was awe-inspiring. Massive columns, intricate carvings, endless pillars, stupendous gopurams – an awesome spectacle.
An example of some pillar carvings representing various Divine beings from the pantheon of Hindu gods and goddesses…
