Ring Out, Wild Bells
Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky,
The flying cloud, the frosty light;
The year is dying in the night;
Ring out, wild bells, and let him die.
Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
Ok, that isn’t the complete poem but you get the message, huh?

🙂 even i was surprised when i read it. thot he’d have very little to say besides sex, drugs and rock-n-roll…
it was directed to those students who’d been honoured with an online scholarship by berklee. to quote verbatim (a part of it) “Long may you serve the cosmic spirit.” somehow the quote’s stuck in my head… 😀
