This weekend was rather busy with the AOL course taking up the entire day, both days, nearly…
Praanayaam, Sudarshan Kriya and various other yoga practices, stretches, exercises, lots of them… Need to practise them regularly to reap the benefits. From what Abhay(the instructor), the Sudarshan Kriya is a near-miraculous routine.. the effects spanning better concentration, a stress-free mind, amazing clarity of thought… all with regular and dedicated practice and faith, of course..
Pinchoo says that I should first get into the habit of doing it regularly and then question the efficacy of it… Well, I will not be a sceptic any more… Should place faith in SOMETHING!
Have been hearing too much of Malayalam music the last few days… I dunno why I do that because it pushes me into a slightly homesick-nostalgic mood mostly… 🙁
That song from ‘Oru Maymaasapulariyil’… captures the wistful longing for youth… so well!
Bas!
Hina Bas….That translates as ‘Enough here’ in Arabic.
On the other hand, it’s a sunny day… windy and bright!

Speaking of scepticism, did you try to test the instructor’s powers of concentration or clarity of thought :-p ?
wistful longing for youth
Arre, but you’re only 25 – you have youth !?! Or was it just an observation ….

Rileen, my instructor epitomised the entire philisophy in terms of spirit, physical condition, mental health… I didn’t check his clarity or concentration, though… But he did mention that he could work for 10-12 hours continuously and yet NOT feel drained or exhausted and retain the ability to focus afterwards…

Re: deja-vu
I bet every new-age philosophy safeguards itself that way..:)
But believe me, taking the course once isn’t a bad idea…
The yogic exercises they teach, the Sudarshan Kriya, Praanaayaam… I think that regularly practising them will definitely instil a certain amount of self-discipline, at the least…As for the enhanced concentration and clarity of thought, remains to be seen….
Talking about ability to work longer, I always thought that I worked more hours than required….:))

What is ‘drawing my userpic’?
Are you referring to the sketch I’ve got aside?
Naah..:)
Just an image I picked up from some site… My locks aren’t that gravity-defying… not at all, in fact…!
