Lessons from youth…

The song Naina Thag Lenge from Omkara is such a racy composition. The lyrics are deeply passionate, a song ensuing from a pained heart, one that loved but lost… and wept bitterly. There is sense of fatality to the song and as you hear it, you get a sense of foreboding… almost as if a tragedy has already occurred. Hearts and lives ruled by impulsive passions, magic moments mistakenly translated to lifetimes of love and beauty, raging hormones seen as abiding love… and the reckless ardor of youth.

Omkara is such a sad film. So many lessons to be learnt although you would hardly see the sense in them when you need them the most… and when you’re older, who needs the lessons?

Fool, don’t you know that it’s you who is charmed and fooled – what sense lies in blaming a pair of beautiful eyes?
