Slumdog Millionaire is a film that is so difficult to write about. I have to grudgingly admit that it is an excellent film. Like Aamir, it is heart-wrenching to watch and the number of times I averted my eyes from the screen were many… The miracle, for me, resided in Jamal’s purity of intention, the strength of his innocence, his absolute lack of guile… Nice guys finish last and in this case, Jamal attains his heart’s desire. For me, the film spoke of gratefulness. As I got into bed late night after getting home from the film, I couldn’t help being thankful for hot showers, a warm bed, a fluffy comforter, a home and a beautiful family. The film also spoke to me about respect. You never know where you find a Jamal.

Exactly my sentiments! I must have cried a lot in the movie. All my friend’s tissues were all over. 🙂
