On a whim, I decided to sign up for the Care Package Swap hosted by Lindsay at Cook Vegan Lover. It was my first time and I liked the idea of selecting an assortment of items and sending them off to another food blogger. I thought about it long and hard and finally put something together for Lacey, my swap partner.

Lacey runs Lacey Loves Food and she does such a good job of it! I really like her writing – it is honest, enthusiastic, distinctively non-snarky and totally inclusive!

What did I send her? If I remember right, the package contained a bottle of Garam Masala and Chai Tea Masala, a packet of locally ground coffee, a bottle of peach pepper jelly (?), a packet of Kasoori Methi, a ready mix to make Dal Vada, a block print wallet and a wavy print scarf (both from India).

Off I went to India for a vacation. Celebrated Daddy’s 70th birthday with family, friends, fun and laughter, went to Bangalore and celebrated Navaratri with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and thousands of others, shopped for Indian clothes and jewelry, ate some amazing food in between, fell sick, got thoroughly pampered by Mom, Dad and G, and finally boarded a flight (actually two flights, 9.5 hrs each) back to Atlanta. Phew.

Lacey’s package was patiently waiting for me. What did she send me?

Goodies!

A bottle of Raspberry Hot Pepper Jelly
Go for the Gold Chocolate Peanut Butter Snack Bar
S’More Halo ProBar
Coconut Pomegranate Bar (P ate this one and raved about it – didn’t even leave a bit for me to taste… sigh.)
Nashville Jerk Seasoning
Salted Deep-fried Peanuts
Amish Country Blue Popcorn
An assortment of herbal and black teas

Thanks, Lacey! Haven’t sampled all the goodies you’ve sent but I am getting there… 🙂
